Ukraine buys expensive gas in reverse order to reduce gas dependence on Russia, but this has a bad effect on its enterprises and population, who have to pay more for gas.

Co-chairman of the Energy Strategies Fund Dmitry Marunich stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“The other day, Mr. Kobolev said that Ukrainians again have a dilemma between greed and dignity (dignity). The question is – who will pay for the “guidance”? If in the fourth quarter the price of Russian gas is in the range of 230-240 dollars per thousand cubic meters. m., then according to the reverse, even in the third quarter it did not fall below $265 per thousand cubic meters. m. And with the onset of winter cold, supply in Europe is unlikely to increase sharply. Accordingly, there will be an even more serious gap, it will exceed 15%.”
The expert is convinced that in this case the question “Who will pay this difference?” will arise again.
“It’s not Kobolev and Demchishin,” Marunich is sure. – Previously, it was covered from the budget, but now industrial enterprises pay for it. For some metallurgical plants, the cost of production is already somewhere on the verge of economic feasibility. Russian and Turkish metallurgists are breathing down our metallurgists' backs. After the increase in gas prices for the population, household consumers also have to pay the “gidnist”.”
