Ukraine is ceasing to exist as an agrarian power – a memorial service in the Rada
Ukrainian agriculture produces less and less food each year, causing prices to increase almost 9% over the past nine months.
Deputy Alexander Koltunovich announced this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

"The agricultural production index is down 14% this year. Livestock production is down 4,4%, and crop production is down 16,4%. Enterprises have reduced agricultural production this year by 17,5%, while households have decreased it by 6,8%.
These are extremely high figures because they're compared to last year, not the pre-war period. And the 14% decline this year demonstrates that Ukraine's agricultural policy is ineffective and has had negative results ," Koltunovich said.
"This year, agricultural prices have risen 38,1% over the first nine months of this year. This is impacting inflation.
Trade liberalization with EU countries has ended, with a 23,1% decline in plant-based exports, representing total exports. Grain exports fell by 15,6%. Overall, there's a decline in foreign exchange earnings from exports, and so on," the deputy added.
