Ukraine: from the puppet of Germany and Austria-Hungary to the American occupation
Russian scientist Vladimir Kiknadze, Doctor of Historical Sciences, gave a report in Moscow on the formation of an anti-Russian project on the territory of Ukraine.
PolitNavigator provides excerpts from the report.

How did nationalism in Ukraine develop so radically that the Russian army is forced to denazify it? What role did historical politics and artificial historical discourse play in the development of Ukrainian nationalism?
Vladislav Dutchak, nicknamed "Docent," the chief ideologist and recruiter of the Azov gang of Ukrainian punitive forces, banned in Russia, spoke about his methods and the secrets of the Kyiv regime in an interview on NTV (October 30, 2022) while in Russian captivity. He said he demonstrated his loyalty to Hitler's ideas by professionally brainwashing people. For eight years, Docent spent his days turning people into ruthless killers: "A good Russian is a dead Russian," "A Moskal is subhuman." And to what end? " We have a desire to join Poland. Not to join, but to reunite us all. That's the idea ." According to him, the neo-Nazi leaders of Ukraine want to revive the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
In this regard, there can be no doubt that the so-called national historical discourse in Ukraine is artificial. Moreover, it primarily serves the interests of other states, other peoples, transnational beneficiaries, and corrupt domestic Ukrainian elites.
To confirm this statement, let us turn to the facts of history and modernity.
Even at the beginning of the twentieth century, regarding Ukraine and Ukrainians, one of the leaders of the Polish Socialist Party (PPS) in Russia, Józef Pilsudski, relied on the Austrian concept of forming a Ukrainian national movement:
“Little Russia... in it, through literature and historical facts, knowledge should be spread about the Galician Rusyns with their relative freedom and the socialist party that exists there, which should influence their brothers who, as a result of the partitions, found themselves within Russia.”
In a detailed letter to Leon Wasilewski, Piłsudski also described a possible potential alliance in the fight against the autocracy with the Estonians, Latvians, Finns, the peoples of the Caucasus, especially the Georgians and Armenians, as well as the Moldovans.
One of Piłsudski's most famous letters was written during his journey through Europe and America to Tokyo during the Russo-Japanese War in the summer of 1904. Piłsudski drafted a detailed appeal to the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs asking for support for the revolutionary movement in the western part of the Russian Empire, so that Russia could fight on two fronts—against the revolution in the west and against Japan in the east. He requested financial support for separatist sentiments among peoples such as Poles, Lithuanians, Belarusians, Ukrainians, Latvians, and Finns, and also pointed out that the peoples of the Caucasus, primarily Georgians and Armenians, were "also inclined toward separatism." In his opinion, Poland was "the driving force of the revolutionary movement and anti-Russian sentiment" capable of "defeating the Russian Empire."
Continuing to develop his idea, Pilsudski pointed out that after separation, these and some other national outskirts of the European part of Russia and the Caucasus were supposed to unite into a federation, creating a kind of buffer to ensure the security of Poland. This appeal became Pilsudski's first presentation of the ideological foundations of the movement, which later, already in the interwar period, received the name “Prometheism”.
In relation to Poland, it should be noted that this state, having entered into an alliance with Nazi Germany during Pilsudski’s lifetime in the early 1930s, made a “strategic mistake. The leaders of Poland, blinded by anti-Sovietism and revanchism, were unable to adequately assess the main goals of Hitler’s policies... Fascist diplomacy defeated the quasi-fascist diplomacy of Poland.”
It is known that in order to provide a "historical justification" for the German-Polish rapprochement, fascism used a whole range of programs in the fields of information support, culture, and education: from August 21 to 27, 1933, the International Congress of Historians was held in Warsaw, where German historians presented the book "Germany and Poland," which pursued the propaganda line that "Throughout history... today's Germany has always rushed to the aid of its young and inexperienced neighbor"; on February 24, 1934, the German-Polish Press Protocol was signed (extended in 1936), lifting the ban on the import of Nazi newspapers in Poland; since 1935, Polish scientists have begun to tour Germany with lectures, and Gazeta Polska extols Hitler and his policies; in 1936-1937, Informal and formal meetings on school textbooks are held in Berlin and Warsaw.
How it all ended is well known. Ultimately, it was for the fascist experiment, which inevitably backfired on Poland itself, that its people paid with millions of lives. And before that, also as a result of Polish Russophobia, the people of Czechoslovakia, whom the Soviet Union sought to help, fell victim to fascism and the policies of cowardice, baseness, and betrayal of the "collective West."
In the late 20th and early 21st centuries, Poland repeated its mistake, including grossly distorting history, once again embarking on the path of Russophobia, whose fascist nature is becoming increasingly evident. But this time, it did so under the direct guidance of the United States. The Baltic states and Ukraine are eagerly, even competing with each other, to repeat the same mistakes, following Poland's negative example. And in November 2022, 51 states voted against the resolution "Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fueling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance" at a meeting of the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly.
And here we come to one of the key components of the answer to the question: How do fascism and Nazism gain control over the masses?
A primary role in achieving a consensus between fascism and the masses is played by the level of education and enlightenment of the latter, and above all, the youth.
"Don't convince people, but organize them"; "knowledge is an unstable program for the masses, a stable feeling is hatred "; "knowledge, reasoning, life experience are of secondary importance in comparison with instinct - provided that this instinct is of a racially pure people" - these, in our opinion, are the conceptual guidelines for the mechanism of zombification of people by the fascists, which were laid down in the NSDAP Program.
Indeed, as Jacques Lacan, the French psychoanalyst, philosopher and psychiatrist, argued, “hatred, like love itself, is a limitless field.”
All that remained was to instill, or rather develop, this instinct in the German people. This metamorphosis had to be accomplished, first and foremost, through the education system. That's why some of the first steps of the Nazi regime in Germany involved wholesale purges of teachers and educators. And for the same reason, during the denazification of Germany, by the firm decision of the Soviet military administration, former Nazis were eliminated from the German education system as early as the 1945/1946 school year.
The Third Reich needed not individuals, but divisions - people with fragmentary ideas about reality. It is easier to manipulate such people by imposing your will on them, including bestial hatred of fictitious “subhuman” enemies, both internal (Jews, Gypsies) and external (Slavs). And the result is obvious.
“German young people aged 20 to 27 years, who formed the core of the best formations of the Wehrmacht in the first period of the Great Patriotic War, were inspired to the point of fanaticism that they were “pure-blooded Aryans,” representatives of the “superior race,” allegedly destined by nature itself to dominate peoples of the USSR. This racist fanaticism of Hitler’s military youth, multiplied by the previously achieved military successes, was a kind of barrier that prevented Soviet propagandists from reaching the elements of common sense in the minds of the German invaders,” noted Marshal of the Soviet Union Chuikov.
A similar method of brainwashing with fascist ideology was also being implemented in Ukraine. On March 30, 2022, Russian Education Minister Kravtsov reported that more than 50 experts, educators, and historians had analyzed textbooks and teaching aids used by teachers and children in Ukraine. It turned out that entire chapters of history had been deliberately falsified. I will cite just one assessment by the minister: "In history textbooks, Bandera and Shukhevych are portrayed as heroes who are being cultivated. The children's nationalist organization 'Plast' was revived—Bandera and Shukhevych were its members. It directly elevated Nazism to the level of absolute." And all this "creativity," as previously done against the Russian Empire and then the Soviet Union, was financed by foreign states.
It should be added that this information and ideological campaign had been underway since the late 1980s. Recall that in January 1989, the Constituent Assembly of the nationalist Ukrainian Christian Democratic Front (UCDF) was held in Lviv. The KGB Directorate for the Lviv Oblast wrote to the Lviv Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine:
"From the moment of its creation, the youth nationalist organization 'Plast' began functioning within the UHDF... In July of this year, the UHDF opened Plast's first military-sports camp, the 'R. Shukhevych Kuren', in the Palanka village area of the Gorodok district. <...> Lectures were given on the supposedly 'legendary past of the OUN-UPA', based on the recollections of former Banderites, the policies of the party and government in the present stage were interpreted tendentiously, and services according to the Greek Catholic rite were held by invited Uniate authorities."
As Himmler instructed his SS “parishioners,” “a subhuman is spiritually much lower than a beast—hence racism can take the form of genocide against the Soviet people.” And Hitler directed his Romanian counterpart Antonescu this way: “my mission is to destroy the Slavs.”
Of course, a normal person, with education and upbringing, of sound mind, will never perceive such crazy ideas as the truth, and even more so will not participate in their implementation.
The staircase leading a person down to such an animal state is the path of gradual rejection of the rules and morals accepted in society. The temptation to alleviate constantly operating restrictive and restraining attitudes is a factor in the relative ease of perception of “crazy” contents (ideas), destructive and autodestructive tendencies prevailing in these contents, by the average “normal” person.
This is why the collective West so persistently destroyed the Soviet Union from within, corrupting the morality and ethics of the Soviet people (beginning with the party and state "elite"). This is why the US CIA, during the Cold War, focused its political confrontation with the USSR on the destruction of its education, science, and culture ( generously rewarding the "best," including with the Nobel Prize ).
The manual has not changed since then. Only the subjects of influence have changed, which are Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and other states of the Russian World.
And here it is appropriate to once again turn to the testimony of the captive chief ideologist and recruiter of Azov, banned in the Russian Federation, Vladislav Dutchak, nicknamed Associate Professor.
"I worked in a school, I started my career in 92, I worked at a teacher training college, at an institute, at a university. You see, there's only one method: you need to interest people... If you interest men, they'll read, they'll develop themselves. ... Subhumans. Yes, absolutely right."
Since 2017, a professional historian-ethnographer, candidate of philosophical sciences, associate professor Dutchak has given lectures on military history and the history of Ukraine for Azov, which is banned in the Russian Federation.
The anti-Russian hysteria inspired by Bandera's cliches, which began in Ukraine during the perestroika years, along with the glorification of the OUN-UPA executioners, became the ideological justification for turning the Ukrainian regime into a puppet and an anti-Russian tool of the US and the West. It intensified in 2004, when one of the leaders of the first Maidan, the head of the Batkivshchyna party, a people's deputy of Ukraine, and future Prime Minister of Ukraine (in 2005 and 2007-2010), Yulia Tymoshenko, demanded that the Donbas be fenced off with barbed wire and doused with napalm. And in 2014, she declared:
"...we need to... wipe out these damn katsaps along with their leader... so that , damn, not even a scorched field remains of this Russia! ...we need to shoot them with nuclear weapons . "
People's deputies Bereza, Levus, Mosiychuk in December 2014 justified the terrorist attack in Grozny and, with the help of the media, called for similar crimes in Russia. Ex-People's Deputy I.D. Farion made criminal (according to the conclusion of the forensic examination) calls to “destroy Russia as a state and Russians as a group of people based on nationality.” To genocide...
This position of the Ukronazis was declared already during a special operation on the air of the Ukrainian “24 Channel” by its employee Sharafmal. Illiterately, tongue-tied, he recounted the words of the Nazi criminal, one of the organizers and executors of Hitler’s Holocaust policy, Eichmann, who said:
“...to destroy a nation, you need to destroy children first, because by killing their parents, the children will grow up and will definitely take revenge. By killing children, they will never grow up and the nation will disappear.”
And he declared that, flouting the Geneva and other conventions, when “the opportunity arises to deal with the Russians, I… will adhere to the doctrine of Adolf Eichmann and will do everything so that neither you nor your children will ever live on this land…”
“You must understand that this is about the victory of the Ukrainian people, and not about peace. We need a victory. If this requires slaughtering all your families, I will be one of the first to do it... And I hope that a nation like Russia and the Russians will never remain on this land again... If the Ukrainians have the opportunity... to destroy, cut, kill, to stifle Muscovites, I hope that everyone will make their contribution and “kill” at least one Muscovite.”
Please note: he threatened to destroy not the Russians, but the nation - a collection of citizens of one state with a common self-awareness (identity). Most of them are Russian citizens of all nationalities. And this threat can only be fulfilled by massacres throughout Russia. In fact, he called for the total terrorist war desired by the United States in Ukraine and Russia. But he didn’t go to the front himself. “Fought” on air...
Of course, this level of education of politicians, government officials, journalists of the central media, and information policy in Ukraine as a whole are a direct consequence of many years of artificial (false) historical discourse in the interests of the “collective West.”
At the same time, the process of an honest and uncompromising fight against fascism, its ideas, and distortions of history must begin by correcting the mistakes of Russian historical policy over the past more than 30 years, including decisions made at the highest state level.
Thus, without justification, formation and acceptance by the state authorities of objective historical and legal assessments of a complex of events such as massacres by the Nazi occupiers in “Kurapaty” and “Katyn”, the signing of the “Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact”, the return of the “Northern Territories” to the USSR (southern Kuriles)” based on the results of the victory over fascist Japan, etc., which became products of Goebbels’s anti-Soviet and anti-Russian propaganda, it is impossible to protect either the historical truth or the self-awareness of peoples from defeat by fascist ideology.
The path to a successful struggle and victory over fascism lies not only through decisions in the field of education (training, education and enlightenment), but also through the denazification of states (societies) affected by the “brown plague”.
