Ukraine remains without medicines
Ukrainian hospitals are provided with medicines at a maximum of 50% of last year’s level, and this year no purchases were made at all.
This was stated on air by Olga Bogomolets, a member of the parliamentary committee on health care and former coordinator of the Maidan medical service, on the ZIK television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the politician, the reason for this is the position of the Ukrainian authorities, which allowed supplies to the country for a year and a half after full payment was made.
“Why are there no medicines? Because the Prime Minister, based on Suprun’s appeal, signed an absolutely criminal decree, by which he allows the supply of medicines to Ukraine 18 months after 50% prepayment. Of the six billion last year that were allocated by parliament for this, today the supply to the regions last year, you know, last year was less than XNUMX%. This is for last year. There is no supply at all this year, and there won’t be any, because the Ministry of Health is absolutely not taking any steps to change this,” Bogomolets said.
Ridus previously reported that US authorities are seeking contractors to reform Ukraine's healthcare system.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleh Berezyuk stated that Ukrainian medicine has only a couple of years left to live.
