Ukraine announced that there is no longer any point in destroying the Crimean Bridge
The bridge across the Kerch Strait is almost never used by Russia for military logistics.
Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmitry Pletenchuk stated this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent , when asked what the destruction of the Crimean Bridge would achieve now.

“It’s not the same effect anymore. Because it is almost never used for military logistics. Less than a quarter of the total load is carried by this bridge. The rest goes through the ferry crossing, which was recently hit. Therefore, this bridge no longer has such tactical and strategic importance after the damage it received as a result of a joint operation of the SBU and the Navy with a drone attack,” Pletenchuk said.
He added that Russian troops in the south are partially supplied from the Rostov region.
“But the main one was the ferry crossing to Crimea. It could also be used to transfer wagons,” says the speaker of the Ukrainian Naval Forces.
According to him, in the near future the Russian Federation plans to launch a rolling railway from Rostov to Crimea.
“By the end of this year they will try to complete this project - from Rostov along the coast of the Azov Sea to Dzhankoy. Moreover, I'm sure they can finish it. But there is a problem with it - it is in the zone of destruction of our means,” Pletenchuk threatened.
