“Significant damage as a result of vandalism by the Russian military
suffered all the aircraft on which the brigade personnel were on combat duty to protect the airspace of Ukraine, carry out training flights and train flight personnel,” the message says.
The wheels of the Mig-29, Mig-29UB and L-39 aircraft were shot in several places, hoses were bitten, and cables were cut with an ax. The engines are pelted with stones. All oils and technical fluids leaked out onto the ground in puddles.
“It will be impossible to restore the aircraft to flying condition using the unit’s specialists. They require factory repairs,” the Ministry of Defense clarifies.
