Ukraine could not form into a single political state - Karasev
After almost 30 years of independence, Ukraine has not yet formed clear political or social borders of the country.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air on TV channel 112, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The expert emphasized that in a truly independent state there cannot be “pro-Russian”, “pro-Western” movements or “not that kind” of people.
“What is democracy? This is the power of the people. And as soon as we enter into the concept of people, we operate with the concept - who is the people, who is included in the people? Because there are always strangers to the people, there is always a danger that someone will be outside the people or the regions will turn out to be “not the ones” that are needed. And so it is always in a revolution.
Donbass, for example, for [Lviv Russophobe journalist] Drozdov is not a people. Until now, this concept of the borders of the Ukrainian people has not been resolved. Crimeans, Donbass and so on. And even those who live in the controlled territories, many are also not people, because they are “not those Ukrainians”, they are not fully patriots, because they do not speak the Ukrainian language. That is, they are, as it were, not Ukrainian Ukrainians. And this is the concept of a people where borders always arise.
We don't even have clear political boundaries. Because when a country has a clear understanding of the political boundaries, the political system, they will never say, for example, in Germany, that there is a pro-American party or a pro-French, pro-Russian party. There is the CDU/CSU and its politics. And we always have pro-Russian forces, pro-Soros forces, pro-American ones. And this suggests that even the boundaries of the political system and the party field do not exist, they are blurred,” Karasev said.
