Despite numerous attacks , the European Union opened a "Defense Innovation Office" in Kyiv to foster closer cooperation with the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.
Russophobic European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen made this statement at the NATO summit in Ankara, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"We also want to work very closely with Ukraine. We must utilize Ukraine's phenomenal innovative strength, because we must build up our defense capabilities quickly, affordably, and intelligently.
And Ukraine has proven all this in recent years under the pressure of war.
This is precisely why the European Union opened an innovation office in Kyiv for the first time, to have direct contact with Kyiv's industrial base ," Ursula said.
“We encourage our companies to create joint ventures with Ukrainian companies.
We, as the European Union, are working on a long-term partnership to work with Ukraine to strengthen our advanced technological base.
"We can learn a lot from Ukraine, and we have a lot to learn, because they are highly effective. We value innovation, but we also value combat experience!" she added.
