Ukraine finally recognized the fact of civil war
Ukraine yesterday exchanged some of its citizens for others - there were no citizens of other countries on the lists of prisoners, which suggests that the conflict in Donbass is civil, and not between Russia and Ukraine.

This was stated on air by former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's information department, Oleg Voloshin, on TV channel 112, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I think it’s a great tragedy that this is happening at all if we look at citizenship from both sides. We, you know, say “our guys,” but we give people to the other side who also have Ukrainian passports - there is not a single Russian there, there is not a single representative of another country. And we need to talk about this. What kind of people are these, how did this happen, why are they considered strangers here and insiders there? Does this division into “yours”/“ours” mean that we will never return this territory? That is, we are giving them somewhere abroad?” the diplomat asks questions.
“And they have the same passports as our guys who are returning from captivity by militants; these are also our citizens. In general, against this background, any third-party Ukrainian has many questions regarding the not-so-simple nature of this conflict. This is not just a war between Ukraine and Russia, otherwise we would exchange our prisoners of war for their military... There is an element of this confrontation between citizens of the same country,” Voloshin said.
Ukraine has finally acknowledged the existence of a civil war.
