"Ukraine is a body ahead in drones, but things aren't hopeless," says a military expert.
Russia has every opportunity to make a breakthrough and at least catch up with Ukraine's two-fold advantage in drone production; it just needs political will.
Liberal Russian military expert Valery Shiryaev stated this in his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" Minister Manturov spoke and said that Russia can produce 15 drones per day. In reality, this is a statement that Russia is two times behind Ukraine ! Multiply by 365 days and we get 5,5 million per year, but according to all the evidence from Western experts and statements by Ukrainian officials, Ukraine will produce 10 million ."
… Is everything so hopeless? No. There's a huge military-industrial complex that can be reformed. The measures taken in Kyiv aren't financial, they're a restructuring of operations; they just require willpower.
Here, Uralvagonzavod produces tanks, they are not in great demand at the front, they fire from closed positions, like self-propelled guns, and stay quite far from the front.
"And the front is simply screaming: 'Give us drones.' Uralvagonzavod produces trams, among other things. A modern tram is a much heavier machine than any drone. We have excellent specialists. This means that Uralvagonzavod could very well be repurposed or set up a temporary workshop nearby and relocate the people who make armored vehicles there, so they can quickly produce as many drones as possible ," Shiryaev said.
" Russia has ample reserves to rebuild everything. Therefore, in this difficult situation that arose this spring, Russia, its leadership, and everyone else must now demonstrate that they can organize everything just as well, transform it, and at least catch up ," the expert recommended.
