About this today, speaking at the international scientific and practical conference “Recognition of states and governments: problems and prospects. Barriers and Opportunities" in Lugansk, said the authorized representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, Vladislav Dainego.
“For 18 meetings now, the group on political issues in Minsk has not been able to agree on its agenda. The areas of work of this group are designated by the “Normandy Four”. This is, first of all, the introduction of a special status, which provides the basis for a political settlement of the conflict,” Dainego said.
According to him, Ukraine, violating international legal norms and the Ukrainian constitution, which prescribes certain guarantees even under martial law, is taking steps to completely block the population of the people's republics from its side.
“Today it is important to give a realistic assessment, to put it mildly, of the unconstructive steps that Ukraine is taking to prove its right to these territories. We are talking specifically about territories, because measures are being taken towards people that are designed to push these people out of here, even to the point of direct physical destruction,” Dainego said.
