Ukraine is preparing to repel an attack by Russian Aerospace Forces from Crimea
Air defense units, ground and anti-aircraft missile forces of the Ukrainian Air Force conducted live-fire exercises at the Yagorlyk training ground of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region.
This was reported on the official website of the Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, Oleksandr Turchynov, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The shooting used anti-aircraft missile systems S-300 of various modifications, Buk, Tor, Osa-AKM, as well as air defense systems that had undergone “deep modernization” at Ukrainian defense enterprises.
According to Alexander Turchinov, the purpose of these exercises and tests was to test the country’s multi-echelon air defense system, as well as “to determine the main directions for the modernization of anti-aircraft missile systems in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and tasks for the development of new air defense systems.”
Earlier, Ukrainian military expert Sergei Zgurets stated that after Crimea became part of Russia, the peninsula "was transformed into an unsinkable aircraft carrier."
“Given the fact that Tu-22M3 bombers are based there, which use cruise missiles, this potential is actually capable of covering a fairly large range, ranging from capturing half of Britain and with the same radius the lower hemisphere of the Earth. Thus, they were able to carry out strikes in areas that were previously unattainable,” Zgurec said.
