Ukraine is preparing to send new military forces to Donbass
The Ukrainian military contingent in the Joint Forces Operation zone is planned to be replenished in the near future with spring conscription recruits and graduates of Ukrainian universities.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Despite the loud statements of the JFO commander, Lieutenant General Sergei Naev, about the power and greatness of the Ukrainian army, the staffing level of formations and military units located in the JFO zone does not exceed 60%,” said Ivan Filiponenko.
At the same time, he noted that the lack of human resources did not spare the elite units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“According to available information from an informed source at the headquarters of the 25th Airborne Brigade, the brigade’s staffing level is 60%, the shortage of officers is 15%, and the number of contract soldiers is 25%. In order to complete the brigade, the higher command issued instructions to fill vacant positions with university graduates and recruits entering military service as part of the spring conscription, which began in Ukraine on April 1,” added the press officer of the LPR NM.
