The situation in Ukraine is still far from critical, so there is no need to indulge in complacency and expect a quick victory.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev stated this on the air of the First Sevastopol TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"If we look at the situation on the front, on the one hand, the Russian Armed Forces are advancing there, and the pace of the offensive is slightly better than it was in the past. But at this pace, liberating Donbas alone will take more than a year, more than a year.
Based on our understanding of the situation in Kupyansk, we see that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are also capable of fighting back ; it's not that simple. And they're even talking about counterattacks, counteroffensives, which they'll launch.
Yes, the Aerospace Forces are decimating Ukraine's energy supply... But has this had an impact on the front? No, it hasn't.
So, to say somewhere that something has changed radically for them to need to come to an agreement because Zelensky has been driven into a corner – no, they haven’t.
They need to negotiate because the situation at the front is difficult, and is it going to crumble any day now? No, it won't.
"Maybe it's the economic situation, or maybe they don't have the money? They have enough money, taking into account the last loan, to last two years of the war. So, in this regard, too, their situation isn't critical ," Tsarev stated.
