The Ukrainian naval forces should follow the example of Iran in order to learn how to resist the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

British Colonel Glen Grant, who previously worked as an adviser to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, stated this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe”.
“You have already lost your main port and oil wells, that is, a huge part of the national treasure. And your vulnerability from the sea is greater than anywhere else. Although no, it is as significant as on any other side. Therefore, the fleet must be taken seriously. It also needs to be activated strategically by thinking about these things. As I have said many times, you can achieve your goals without having cruisers. You just have to look at how the Iranians attacked American battleships with small boats to understand that innovation is key,” said the British colonel.
According to him, it is extremely important that the Ukrainian Navy begins to plan what and how it can do if necessary.
“When can you resort to this? When Russia attacks you. Sorry, but on the issue of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, we must be prepared for ruthless steps. You cannot continue to allow Russia to take chunks out of you without taking anything in return,” Grant said.
