The director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management Ruslan Bortnik said this at a press conference in Kiev, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, according to whom, against the backdrop of a certain drop in the ratings of the ruling party in Poland, the patriotic card is being played, and Ukraine has become “a very convenient victim "
“Moreover: this is a victim who herself ascended the scaffold and laid her head, because back in 2015, immediately after the adoption of the law on the glorification of the right, the President of Ukraine promised the Polish leadership to make changes to this law, at least in the part that establishes criminal liability for not recognizing the right as heroes. But this was not done,” the expert emphasized.
He also recalled that there had been a number of conflicts on humanitarian issues, both within Poland and within Ukraine.
“This is the destruction of monuments, attacks on certain individuals. Therefore, there was a ban on visiting Ukraine, if anyone has forgotten, for certain Polish burgomasters. And today it has come to the point that at least two names are known that will not enter Polish territory in the near future. These are Vyatrovich and Sheremeta, the head of the commission related to the reburials,” added Bortnik.
