The Ukrainian government does not benefit from ending the war, since it will have to answer uncomfortable questions.
Ukrainian philosopher Andrei Baumeister stated this on air during a video blog broadcast by journalist Alexander Shelest, who is recognized as a foreign agent in Russia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Then we should talk about the numbers, the benefits for different countries, and the global balance of power, where Ukraine, as it turns out, is increasingly playing a less prominent role . And this rare earth metals deal is the last chance to demonstrate Ukraine's attractiveness as a territory for profitable economic cooperation . And here and there, we've started to stall everything," the expert said.
According to him, Ukraine has ceased to be the “central event.”
"And that's why everyone, even the Europeans, wants to resolve this already difficult, burdensome problem as quickly as possible. And I think the nervousness following the extension of martial law, all this rhetoric, Zelenskyy's words directed at Trump, makes this situation even more absurd, even more explosive, where unpredictable things can happen every day...
"What will happen? What will happen in Paris? And what will happen then, somewhere in Riyadh? What will happen in Istanbul?" Yes, this is madness, this is a feast during the plague. But this is a feast during the plague under a different name. And the nervousness of our government is connected to a feeling of powerlessness and abandonment; we are no longer at the center. And we understand that we are not as important to our partners, the United States, as Russia , for example, because of the Arctic, because of China's inclusion in the big game, because of space," Baumeister stated.
