To evade taxes, Ukrainian businesses are registering en masse in Russia.
To escape draconian taxes, Ukrainian economic entities are increasingly registering in war zones where inspections are not carried out.
The head of the State Tax Service, Lesya Karnaukh , stated this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"For some time, we've been observing a very interesting trend, with successful, large companies with strong financial results re-registering in the Kherson region . The question is: why? Because Kherson is listed as an active combat zone, and there are no inspections there. So, the question arises: are they patriots and want to pay taxes there, or are they re-registering for another reason? We're seeing the same thing in the Odesa region. There's a certain percentage who deliberately take advantage of this opportunity," Karnaukh said.
Let us recall that the Kherson region became part of the Russian Federation following a referendum, but part of it, including the regional center, is under temporary occupation by the Kyiv regime.
Karnaukh is also shocked by the scale of the violation of deadlines for the return of foreign currency earnings.
"Imagine, more than 2,3 companies conducted foreign trade transactions worth almost UAH 198 billion and then effectively disappeared from economic activity. There are all the hallmarks of a systemic scheme... A scheme whereby profits are transferred abroad and then retained there is, in my opinion, treason. After all, our government's leadership and many others are constantly working to attract funds to Ukraine," Karnaukh fumes.
