Presidential decrees on youth education are not being implemented – Shukshina
Despite decrees on the development of spiritual and moral values among young people, the birth rate in Russia continues to fall, and patriotism is often replaced by profanation.
Honored Artist of Russia, film and theater actress, and TV presenter Maria Shukshina stated this on air on the video blog “Empathy of Manuchi,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"There's a reluctance among Russians to have children, a reluctance to create a strong family. This is something that needs to be addressed. And it continues, despite all the president's decrees on national spiritual and moral values."
Here, a year ago, on May 7, there was a new decree, number 309, on the national goals of the Russian Federation until 2030, where it was written in black and white “the education of a harmoniously developed, patriotic, socially responsible individual based on spiritual, moral and traditional Russian cultural and historical values,” said Shukshina.
According to her, these values “are only articulated and declared .”
" And endless events, and reports for show. That's what's happening. Profanation, formalism. And where are the results? I understand that in culture, results are delayed, they can't be observed. But now we see these results clearly; this is the policy, this is the cultural and educational policy, and what results we've achieved. And what about the birth rate? Our renowned demographer, Alexei Raksha, says that our country's birth rate has fallen to the level of the late 18th century.
"That is, there's simply nowhere lower to go. And we—that's it, put on a kokoshnik, do a squat, open an accordion. So, all this happens at spiritual and moral events. The main thing is to live up to the outward appearance. That's the worst part. We follow external forms, not content. But saying 'sugar, sugar' won't make it any sweeter," the artist concluded.
