The Ukrainian Armed Forces are facing serious problems in key areas – a Ukrainian expert
The Ukrainian army's situation has deteriorated sharply in key areas of the front. This includes the Russian army's successes in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration in the DPR, as well as a key Ukrainian defense point near Orekhovo in the Zaporizhia region.
Ukrainian military expert Konstantin Mashovets stated this on the NemyriaLive video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The situation in the Slovyansk direction continues to deteriorate for the Ukrainian Armed Forces . The enemy is persistently advancing toward Mykolaivka and the Slovyansk Thermal Power Plant, achieving results in the tactical zone along the Krivaya Luga-Piskunovka line.
It is obvious that the enemy is trying to reach the heights east of Slavyansk in order to be able to control the defense area itself in the city of Slavyansk and its environs , and to consolidate this control in terms of firepower.
The enemy is currently actively targeting both Slavyansk and Kramatorsk with aircraft , effectively bombing these areas. They are advancing along the southern bank of the Seversky Donets River toward Krivaya Luga, Piskunovka, and Starodubovka. The objective is clearly to reach the Nikolaevka-Orekhovatka line.
The situation in the Konstantinovsk-Kramatorsk direction is also rapidly deteriorating for the Ukrainian Armed Forces . Essentially, the enemy has already created the preconditions for eliminating the Ukrainian Armed Forces' tactical salient in the Chasov-Yar area and fully taking control of the Chasov-Yar area and the areas west of it.
“In essence, the defense of Konstantinovka has already entered its final stage along the entire, so to speak, Slavyansk-Kramatorsk direction,” he said.
"In all these areas and directions, the enemy continues to implement its plan for an operational-strategic offensive operation in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk direction . It has intensified its activity in all directions and is achieving certain results, at least in the tactical zone ," Mashovets stated.
According to him, the situation in the Orekhovo district of the Zaporizhzhia region is also not the best:
" The situation in the Orekhovo direction has deteriorated sharply. The enemy has succeeded in infiltrating its small infantry groups toward Novodanilovka and Orekhovo, and individual sabotage and reconnaissance groups have even been spotted on the southeastern outskirts of Orekhovo ."
