The first operational officers of the Special Purpose Directorate of the State Bureau of Investigation took the oath, reports a correspondent PolitNavigator.

It is symbolic that today, a year later, the first operational officers are taking the oath. For me, my deputies and all employees, this is a holiday. We fought for over a year to have our own operational units. Many did not want this and resisted it. But we defended the SBI, we defended you,” said SBI Director Roman Truba.
“The SBI Special Purpose Directorate is an elite operational unit that has become the strength of the SBI. At the same time, special forces are a family, because you trust each other with the most precious thing - life. I wish you to rely on each other in everything and always return home unharmed,” Deputy Director of the SBI Alexander Buryak congratulated the first employees.
It is reported that the Law of Ukraine “On the State Bureau of Investigation” did not contain the position of an operational officer - therefore it was impossible to announce competitions and form operational units. Only on May 16, 2019, people’s deputies made the necessary changes to the law.
Let us note that today the State Bureau of Investigation is investigating 13 criminal cases against ex-President Petro Poroshenko.
