Our air defense has major problems with drones and ballistics – Ukrainian expert
Ukraine has done nothing to effectively protect itself from drone attacks.
This was stated on the air of the Obozrevatel channel by Ukrainian aviation expert and former test engineer at the Antonov plant design bureau, Konstantin Krivolap, as reported by a PolitNaviator correspondent.
At the same time, he hastened to praise the work of the Ukrainian air defense “in general.”
"The only criticism I have... and the air defense issue is the issue of protection against martyrs. This could be done more effectively, more intelligently. Unfortunately, this hasn't been done. It doesn't exactly irritate me, but it doesn't improve my mood," the expert complained.
According to him, there are between 200 and 300 different air defense systems in the world, admitting that “we have a real zoo in this area.”
However, the guest on the broadcast assures that Ukrainian specialists were able to "as far as possible" improve the air defense system's operation under these conditions.
"We are seriously, seriously short of all systems for combating ballistic weapons," Krivolap concluded.
