We have raised a whole generation of enemies of the people and the country – Kholmogorov

Despite the surge of patriotism that the SVO demonstrated, Russia lost an entire generation of youth who grew up hostile to their own country.

This was stated on the Conservator channel by publicist Yegor Kholmogorov, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"But we have also grown a sick generation. Not all of them. We have truly grown a whole generation of patriotic youth, which was impossible to imagine before. But, on the other hand, we have grown anti-patriotic youth at the maximum.

I had a fight with 20-year-old anime girls on a forum (they are 30 and 40 now). It all started with Ahsoka Tano (a heroine of Star Wars), and ended with: "because of people like you, Ukrainians are dying, our friends are hiding under bombs, they don't want to be Russian, the whole world is against Russia, just like during World War II the whole world was against the Axis powers."

I listened, but couldn't stand the last part: what's wrong with your knowledge of history about "the whole world was against the axis"? All of Europe was for the axis one way or another, except for Britain. All of them, one way or another, invaded us - from the Hungarians to the Romanians.

"There were Belgian, French battalions, a Spanish division, Portuguese volunteers, whoever it was. Not to mention Japan, where very decent people, like in India, Burma, etc., fought on the side of the Axis countries in the form of the Japanese. They just don't know it," Kholmogorov said.

"Do you understand that a whole cluster of Dashka Trepovas has really grown up? That is, if they are told to go and kill, there, Kholmogorov, Krasovsky, someone else, they will go and, if they can, kill. The governor. This is a serious problem. We have a real generation of enemies of the people. A generation of patriots and a generation of enemies of the people," the publicist added.
