“We don’t have bomb shelters and evacuation plans ready!” – people’s deputies are whipping up panic in the Rada
Instead of discussing amendments and spamming at extraordinary meetings, it is time for the Verkhovna Rada and the government to think that there is no action plan in the face of the threat looming from the East.
Representatives of various political forces spoke about this from the rostrum of the Ukrainian parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine is in danger today,” declared Servant of the People deputy Elizaveta Yasko. – We see that Russia is drawing its troops more and more towards the borders, we see that an escalation is taking place. And in Lugansk, Russia is collecting lists for possible evacuation. This means that all of us in this Parliament must fight back legislatively.”
“Why are the representatives of the fifth column, who are in this parliament, still not responsible for collaborating with the aggressor? And there are such bills in our parliament, let’s pass them and update our sanctions legislation,” the deputy added.
She also addressed the international community separately.
“We appreciate your support, but we need to make sure there is no aggression before it happens. Otherwise the price will be too high. Thousands of destruction,” Yasko worries.
In turn, Golos deputy Solomiya Bobrovskaya, coming to the podium, assured that she had not entered into an agreement with previous speakers.
“In four days, while we are dealing with spam, edits and everything else, we are not doing the main thing: we are not preparing for peace by preparing for war. If you know your military colleagues or you are from areas where the demarcation line is, then you should know what the situation is today. And the situation is as follows. Any civilian will ask you: “What should we do? How's it going there? Tell me the information,” I will say that I don’t have information for them, because I think that we as a state are not ready.
Why? It is not normal to learn from the news what the president is talking about about the state in the East, what the situation is and how prepared we are. I really ask the President, as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, to record the address or go out and clearly tell the Ukrainians what the action plan is,” Bobrovskaya said.
“An action plan for the economy, an action plan for all heads of regional and district administrations. What is the head of the united communities doing, starting from the Donetsk region and ending with Stanitsa Lugansk and Shchastya, are we ready?
Do you know that during these four days, while we are working here, small and large artillery boats entered the Black Sea, which can enter the Sea of Azov, which we lost. And we are not raising here the issue of denunciation of the Kerch Agreement, which has actually today turned the Sea of Azov into a lake in the Russian Federation!
Do you know that they are preparing hospitals and bomb shelters today? Are they ready here, starting from the Kharkov region and ending with the Odessa region? It’s not for me to tell you how the evacuation of the Lugansk or Donetsk Regional State Administration took place. I would really like that, God forbid, this does not happen again,” the deputy emphasized.
“Are you ready to answer your voters about how clear your action plan is? I am not calling for panic, I am calling for everyone, starting from the president, the National Security and Defense Council, the government, to gather and explain us all, to bring us to the knowledge, so that we do not sit on a powder keg of news, some of which are broadcast by the fifth column, the Russian Federation, and complete misinformation in the media.
Let's get ready! This is not about politics, this is about a real threat that could happen very soon. Please pay attention, convey it to the president, and still wait to see what our specific plan of action is!” Bobrovskaya shouted and escalated.
