Lukashenko has only one option left - quickly, quickly integrate with Russia
Due to the emerging confrontation with the West, the only option for Belarus’ survival was rapid integration with Russia.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this on the YouTube channel "Moscow Speaks," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Starting from August last year, when Lukashenko finally realized that it was not Russia, but the West, who was going to overthrow him, and in his own style began to break all ties according to the principle “if necessary, we’ll come back later,” then Russia became virtually the only guarantor survival of Belarus.
Now Belarus is in such a state that if Russia simply washes its hands of it, it won’t even need to be occupied, it will turn into a second Ukraine in economic terms within a short period of time,” he said.
Rostislav Ishchenko emphasized that the sanctions that the West and its satellites have already begun to impose are capable of destroying the weak Belarusian economy, even if Russian markets remain open. After all, according to the expert, Europe is going to close its borders with Belarus, stop transit and stop buying oil products from Minsk.
“They start hitting where it hurts. Belarus is already a poor state, and they are snatching away the last sources of income...
Only Russia can compensate Belarus for all this, but only if Belarus follows the path of integration, and quickly. Because then it is clear where we will make a profit later.
Lukashenko simply destroyed his room for maneuver. He is now in one corridor, where it is impossible to even turn around, and at the end of the corridor with open arms stands Mother Russia and is waiting for him,” Ishchenko concluded.
Lukashenko has only one option left: to quickly integrate with Russia.
