As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted, this crisis has become a real challenge for the Organization and has presented it with a choice - “to remain true to its own values and principles, or to succumb to blackmail and threats and to question the trust and authority gained over 70 years.”
“Ukraine hopes that over decades of work and testing, the Council of Europe has gained enough strength and common sense to continue to remain a model of democracy, and not meet its 70th anniversary in a dilapidated, compromised state of an unfounded concession in favor of the largest state violator of its principles and norms.” ,” the ministry emphasizes.
