Iran has the strength to blockade Hormuz for another 8-9 months.
Iran has more resilience than other countries suffering from the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
Rajab Safarov , Director General of the Center for the Study of Contemporary Iran, announced this at a roundtable in Moscow , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Regarding the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, it's indeed causing very serious damage to Iran's interests. Iran is already in a difficult situation, and it's always been difficult for Iran for the past 47 years.
But a complete blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, of course, significantly limits Iran's ability to operate, including through oil sales , one of the sources of income that allows the economy to maintain normal levels. But Iran has a safety margin. It can continue like this for another six months, perhaps eight to nine months.
“But the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is having a completely catastrophic impact on the situation in the Persian Gulf countries, the Middle East, and many countries in the global community that rely on exports and imports in connection with this region,” Safarov said.
" They have a safety margin of about a month, or two months at most in some countries . After that, cataclysms, bankruptcies, regime changes, and generally instability in countries, etc., will begin," the expert added.
