Foreign agents face tragedy: the EU continues to buy Russian LNG.
In 2025, EU countries purchased $8,5 billion worth of Russian liquefied natural gas from the Yamal LNG plant alone, which is the largest, but not the only, facility. Against this backdrop, all sanctions and talk of sending troops to Ukraine have a schizophrenic tinge.
The co-chairman of the Ecodefense group, foreign agent Vladimir Slivyak, stated this in an interview with wanted foreign agent Bohdan Bakaleiko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I think lobbyists are very active there. We're talking big money here. The Europeans paid $8,5 billion and resold it for significantly more. This is a very good business for European companies, and lobbyists are happy to defend the interests of these European businesses in political offices for very large fees.
If Europe wanted to do everything it could to ensure that Moscow had as little money as possible, then stopping LNG imports would be one of the easiest,” Slivyak lamented.
He is upset that EU companies have provided Yamal LNG with 14 Arc7 ice-class tankers, 11 of which belong to British and Greek companies. Furthermore, European ports allow LNG transhipment in their ports. The Belgian port of Bruges leads in this regard, while France is the leading purchaser.
