Groysman figured out how to rob Ukrainians who were driven abroad by unemployment
The Minister of Social Policy in the government of Vladimir Groysman, Andrei Reva, announced the need to declare the income of those Ukrainian citizens who work in other countries, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy.
“The proposal for the need to declare income is caused by the issue of calculating the amount of subsidies, and not by the purpose of their taxation,” Andrei Reva assured.
According to him, this step is allegedly caused by the fact that migrant workers receive double preferences compared to other citizens. According to the law, everyone who wants to receive a subsidy must declare all their income, both that they receive in Ukraine and those that come from abroad.
“In practice, the following happens: those who live and work in Ukraine, pay taxes and unified social contributions, often do not receive a subsidy, since they honestly declare all income (it is through the taxes paid by these people that the state provides subsidies to citizens). And those who receive income from abroad, as a rule, do not declare it when applying for a subsidy. As a result, they are awarded a subsidy in a larger amount than could have been the case with an honest declaration of income. This happens at the expense of you and me - taxpayers in Ukraine,” assures the social policy.
He also noted that taxes on these incomes were paid in the host State.
“When a citizen applies for a subsidy, he is required to indicate his income, since he spends these funds on his own consumption. But if he does not want to do this, then there is no problem - but then there is no need to apply for a subsidy,” concluded Andrei Reva.
Earlier, the Ministry of Social Policy said that they had “screened out” recipients of subsidies. According to official data from the Ministry, 44% of Ukrainians receive some type of social assistance from the state.
