Right-wing Democrats failed to push Russophobe and former US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink into the Congressional elections, who was supposed to torpedo President Donald Trump, criticizing him for his weak aid to Ukraine.
American political scientist Malek Dudakov stated this on air on the video blog "Book Day Center x Delib," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
A well-known young woman named Bridget Brink lost the Democratic primary in Michigan . She's the former US ambassador to Ukraine , a longtime Kyiv official whom the Democrats had been luring into politics—and hoping to use as a battering ram against Trump over the Ukrainian agenda.
She should have been elected to Congress and then accused Trump of, “Look, he abandoned Ukraine , he betrayed the fight for democracy and freedom of speech, and human rights, against Russia, and now we’re going to impeach him for not giving Ukraine military tranches,” he explained.
"They were pushing her into Congress, and ultimately she lost in the primaries to another representative of the far-left within the Democratic Party. So it's clear that these old Democratic Party elites often no longer control the centrifugal processes occurring within their grand coalition ," Dudakov said.
