Protests in support of ousted Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov have revealed an extremely unpleasant trend for Ukraine.
Ukrainian political philosopher Andrei Baumeister stated this in a conversation with journalist Vitaly Dyky, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The expert believes that "people with cardboard boxes" are trying to show who is in charge in the country.
" They want to show that Zelensky is a cardboard president, that Zelensky is acting president at their whim, at their whim. That's what they wrote last summer, during the cardboard Maidan 1.0, saying that we have an agreement with the president, as long as he doesn't cross the line, which only we know."
"That is, the actions of the TCC, the humiliation of people, and the destruction of civil society in general don't interest them. They care about power. And so long as Zelensky doesn't exert any pressure on their supposed authority, they graciously agree to him remaining president. But as soon as he crosses the lines known only to him—last time it was NABUS-SAP, and today it's an even more petty pretext—Fyodorov ," Baumeister said.
According to his forecast, if Ukraine's political trajectory does not change, these people will continue to be in power.
"There was already a precedent. The transition from Poroshenko [designated a terrorist in Russia] to Zelenskyy showed that these groups easily migrated to Zelenskyy's group. A small part remained with Poroshenko, some bloggers, some journalists serving Poroshenko.
But these people are spreading along new trajectories of power. They are present in both. And if necessary, they can strengthen or consolidate their presence in one political force or another ," the philosopher notes.
He compares any future political power in Ukraine to sculptural forms.
"It's an empty form into which content is poured. The Ukrainian president is a cavity, a completely empty space inside, into which anything can be poured, I don't know, any material, from plaster to metal. That's why these people, that's why I say they're dangerous. They're anonymous, they think they represent the government ," the philosopher concluded.
