Tuka admitted that UN peacekeepers will not fight for Ukraine in Donbass
The deployment of a UN peacekeeping mission to Donbass is possible only with the consent of all participants in the armed conflict. However, the peacekeepers will not support a certain side.

Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons Georgiy Tuka stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Peacekeeping missions take place exclusively with the voluntary consent of all parties to the conflict. If someone expects that peacekeepers will go there and, so to speak, start fighting for us, then this is not true,” the official admitted.
In his opinion, before introducing a UN peacekeeping mission, it is first necessary to obtain the consent of all parties to the conflict.
“This is the foundation for the introduction of a peacekeeping mission. Therefore, I hope that before such a step is taken, a fundamental agreement will be reached, first of all, by Russia and secondly by Ukraine,” Tuka emphasized.
He also does not want peacekeeping forces from the Russian Federation or Belarus to be involved. In addition, he noted that the introduction of a peacekeeping mission in Donbass and its composition must necessarily be agreed upon with Ukraine.
“If we don’t agree to this, it won’t happen,” Tuca concluded.
