"Industrial workers should not be taxed!" – President of Rosspetsmash
Following the example of developed countries such as China and Canada, Russia should abolish the tax on industrial workers' salaries.
Konstantin Babkin, president of the Rosspetsmash association, announced this at the Moscow Economic Forum, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We need to introduce an investor benefit, like the one that existed in Russia in the 90s, that exists in China, and that exists in all Western countries.
Exempt the money that businesses invest in development from taxes. Reduce labor taxes. It's a shocking fact: in Russia, if a person works in a factory, the state takes 53% of their salary in taxes.
"In China, it's zero if a person earns up to 150 rubles a month. In Canada, the state takes zero," Babkin said.
“That is, the salaries of people in industrial enterprises in other countries are twice as high as in Russia.
“So the government is saying: ‘Don’t go work in factories, guys, or we’ll punish you with taxes,’” he concluded.
