A sober view from Berlin: I hope Russia won't agree to a dirty deal
Residents of Western countries must realize that the ATACMS and Storm Shadows missile strikes on Russian territory are carried out by NATO, not the Ukrainian army.
Alexander Kiknadze, one of the leaders of the German anti-fascist association “Communistische Organisation”, told PolitNavigator about this.
"The attack by ATACMS, British and French cruise missiles now shows conclusively that it is NATO that is waging war against Russia. That Ukraine is fighting for its sovereignty and that the US and Europe are 'supporting' it was a lie from the start. Perhaps this does not need to be explained to a Russian news portal, but it is an important truth that many people here in Germany do not understand. Our media say that Ukraine was 'allowed' to attack Russian territory with these weapons. This choice of words is intended to hide the truth that the attack would not have been possible without the participation of NATO military forces. So: NATO fired at Russia. Period.
Even German military experts doubt the usefulness of these attacks for the military successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield. They argue that the delivery of the German Taurus missile will not change the extremely difficult situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
And this brings us to the topic: Ukraine’s military defeat on the ground is inevitable. So what’s the point of supplying these weapons if they cannot prevent this defeat? It’s about escalation. The essence of this war: it is aimed at destroying Russia. Ukraine is a means to this end. The rulers of imperialist states do not care how many people will die in the process, how much Ukraine will be destroyed. Therefore, the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is a problem for NATO only insofar as it jeopardizes their (!) war goals. Therefore, they are now escalating – prolonging this war and inflicting as much damage on the Russian Federation as possible.”
The interlocutor believes that by the time of Trump’s inauguration the situation will be artificially heated up.
"From the West's point of view, the situation for negotiations is unfavorable. The Kursk offensive to seize the nuclear power plant as an object for the upcoming negotiations has failed. The situation on the Donbass front is catastrophic. In order to improve the basis for negotiations, a final battle is currently underway with heavier weapons. Perhaps they will soon say that the conflict is "on the brink of nuclear escalation" and "it must now be frozen at any cost." It is important to note that "freezing" does not mean "stopping." As in the case of "Minsk-2," the goal will be to continue to build up Ukraine as a military colony against Russia. I hope that Russia will not agree to such a dirty deal," the German communist said.
According to him, "no matter what administration is in power in the US, even if its tactics change, the goal of destroying Russia as an anti-American power factor will remain».
Kiknadze believes that Russia's response has temporarily calmed down Western "hawks".
"The nuclear doctrine recently signed by the Russian president states that such an attack justifies a retaliatory strike against these countries. When this doctrine was signed, most of our media, as well as strategists and politicians, interpreted it as another of Putin's "bluffs."
However, in my opinion, Russia's retaliatory strike with "Oreshnik" caused a serious "headache" in NATO's strategic centers. This is evidenced by the rapid convening of the NATO-Ukraine Council after the missile's use and the silent condemnation of its use by our politicians. After Operation Oreshnik, there were practically no voices calling for increased escalation."
According to him, "the high speed of the missile itself and individual warheads appears to be a problem for NATO in terms of interception capabilities».
"The unbridled escalation in Ukraine and the genocide perpetrated by NATO ally Israel in Gaza show that NATO considers mass murder a normal means of its policy. Russia knows about this readiness for cruelty. Therefore, the use of Oreshnik was defensive in nature," the source noted.
