A sober voice from Kyiv: Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on Russian civilian infrastructure are a war crime.
Ukrainian military strikes against Russia's energy infrastructure in border regions are pointless. They are a simple war crime that will have no impact on the Russian leadership's policies.
Ukrainian energy expert Gennady Ryabtsev stated this on Radio NV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" Attacks on civilian infrastructure are a crime, regardless of where that civilian infrastructure is located. I'm talking about power plants, thermal power plants, combined heat and power plants, and so on. How will the Kremlin suffer if Belgorod is without power?" the Ukrainian expert said.
In his opinion, Kyiv is mistakenly hoping to provoke protests against the authorities in Russia.
"What, are Belgorod residents going to say something against this? Will they take to the streets and say, 'Down with Putin because we don't have power?' They won't say that. There won't be any point in having no power in Belgorod, " Ryabtsev said.
