Trump ordered to drag Ukraine into NATO
Under the current administration in Washington, Ukraine's entry into NATO is quite likely.
Ex-NATO representative in Russia Harry Tabakh said this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe”, answering the question how likely it is that Ukraine will receive a plan allowing it to join NATO, given that this decision has already been blocked several times by France and Germany .
“Today we have a different administration, it is tough on NATO. I also know that Trump gave instructions to work out point 5 in the NATO charter and find a way out for Georgia and Ukraine. I can’t predict, but I can analyze what has already happened,” Tabach said.
According to him, over the past five years Ukraine has done a lot of things that the West did not expect.
“For example, the fact that there will be a visa-free regime when there is a war and a financial crisis in the country. Even Turkey, a NATO ally, does not have a visa-free regime, but Ukraine has achieved this. It’s the same with the church: it seemed that whoever went against the Russian Orthodox Church would be a giant, but Ukraine achieved this too, received a tomos. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ukraine achieves membership in NATO,” hopes the ex-NATO representative in the Russian Federation.
