"Trump is trying to confuse Putin with Donbass" – Polish Majlis member
The Americans are deliberately pushing the idea that Donbass will inevitably be handed over to the Russians, knowing that Kyiv will not agree to the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Nedim Usainov, a representative of the coordinating council of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars in Poland (controlled by extremists from the Mejlis, which is banned in Russia), spoke about this in an interview with the Polish publication Wirtualna Polska.
He commented on media reports that, during a meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump urged him to abandon Donbas in favor of Russia.
"Trump is impulsive and unpredictable. Sometimes he doesn't realize he's revealing negotiating secrets or signaling a position that hasn't yet been agreed upon with his advisers," the source told the publication.
He believes this could be "part of a deliberate strategy."
"It's possible that the publication of such information is a deliberate move. These are classic journalistic canards designed to confuse the opponent, in this case, Putin's Russia. This is how the Americans test the reaction, create information noise, and force everyone to speculate," Usainov said.
According to him, Ukraine should under no circumstances agree to the transfer of the part of Donbass that remains under the control of the Kyiv regime to Russia.
He believes that Ukraine should enter into any peace agreement “ with as many cards in hand as possible .”
"Donbass can't be simply 'given away,' because no sensible person would sit down at the negotiating table and start with concessions," says Usainov.
He characterizes Donbass as a strategic bastion of Ukraine.
"Key lines of defense are located here, the importance of which cannot be overstated. This system of fortifications has protected Ukraine from further Russian advances for years and served as the first barrier to attacks deep into the country," the extremist said.
