"Trump used us as a disposable tool! This is not a partnership," says Ukrainian diplomat Chaly.
Donald Trump is cynically using Ukraine to his advantage, as he sees fit, in negotiations with Moscow.
This was stated on the Suspilne channel by the former Ukrainian ambassador to the United States, Russophobe Valeriy Chaly, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The fact that the president went to Washington and, when he returned, received completely unexpected news and a complete change in everything—that, of course, isn't the best option in a partnership dialogue. Or maybe it's our poor performance that we didn't foresee this—I'm referring to Putin's conversation with Trump, after which everything turned upside down."
"It's Groundhog Day all over again. We're at the point before Anchorage, only then Trump threatened sanctions, and now with Tomahawks. But he got a meeting both then and now. He's demanding a meeting! At whose expense? At ours! At the expense of Ukraine's position," Chaly lamented.
"So, let's be honest, we were used. We were used as a tool. Even regarding sanctions. Zelenskyy said: we wanted to discuss sanctions, but we didn't have time. Do you understand? A good visit? This just goes to show that the other side didn't give us any opportunity to take the initiative. We were played! We were simply used in this situation," the Ukrainian diplomat lamented.
