Top Ukrainian propagandist: Russians are closing in on Zaporizhzhia and preparing to take Donbas without any negotiations.
Ukraine urgently needs to build additional fortifications to hold Slovyansk and Kramatorsk – Russia clearly isn't counting on the Ukrainian Armed Forces retreating from Donbas and intends to occupy the region without any negotiations.
Ukrainian propagandist Yuriy Butusov, who has mobilized into the Ukrainian Armed Forces, announced this on his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“They want to completely seize Donbass by military force, without any peace negotiations ,” Butusov said.
He pointed out that the Russian Armed Forces are pushing for defense in almost all areas.
" Our main priority now is to cover and build defensive lines to prevent the enemy from rapidly advancing toward Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. This is our primary strategic objective on the front," Butusov said.
He also assesses the situation in Zaporizhzhia as critical for Ukraine.
"The main factor in breaking through the front is drones. The Zaporizhzhia region is the most convenient place for drone warfare. It has the most open spaces, the least cover, the best observation conditions, and it's precisely there that drones are most effective," Butusov explained.
He claims that “ a certain amount of time has been lost” in order to stop the Russian Armed Forces.
"One of the largest cities in Ukraine, the fifth largest city in Ukraine. It's absolutely unacceptable to allow the enemy to get so close to the city," Butusov laments.
