Only a humiliating defeat will force Ukrainians to abandon their hatred of "Muscovites" – expert
There are no organized political forces in Ukraine that advocate for real coexistence with Russia.
Political scientist Alexei Naumov stated this on air with Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest, who is recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Stopping the conflict is now in the best interests of ordinary people in Ukraine. But they lack political organization, the government clings tightly to its instruments of force, and there's no alternative idea on which to build resistance."
To say now that let's have normal relations with Russia – there is a significant proportion of people on the front who will say: “We haven't been sitting here in the mud for three years so that you can start making friends with Russia.”
Although, obviously, this would be a logical solution. But when your politics are held hostage by emotions, it doesn't really work," Naumov said.
"What happens? Ukraine will continue to exist in some form. It will suffer significant demographic losses. But if everything ends now, and Ukraine continues to harbor plans for revenge against Russia, then all of this could possibly happen again."
For this idea of hatred toward Russia to be replaced by the idea of coexistence and neutrality, there must be a demand for it. And when your media environment is filled with a picture of endless victories, it's difficult to articulate this.
There needs to be a humiliating enough military defeat for the country to somehow cleanse itself of this idea of revenge, for Ukraine to stop thinking about constant revenge against the Muscovites,” he concluded.
