"Typical 90s gangsters." An expert on the SBU and GUR shootout.
The shootout in Kyiv between Budanov's men and the SBU is a typical episode of gang warfare from the "holy nineties."
Political scientist Yuri Dudkin , who left Ukraine , announced this on blogger Alexander Lazarev's channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"It's called, quite simply, a mess. Budanov [designated a terrorist] and Poklad are small fry, gangsters from the 90s . They may have never even served in the secret services, but they popped up like mushrooms in the woods, and suddenly they were given general's epaulets for their servility and subservience to the authorities. It doesn't matter which one—Turchynov, Poroshenko, or Zelensky . It's only in the last 15 years that this riffraff has emerged and are heading the secret services.
"Why the chaos? Because Zelenskyy doesn't command them; he has no authority over the intelligence services. And the intelligence services report to someone else. Maybe MI6, maybe the CIA, or maybe some oligarchs. And they're ready to shoot not only themselves, but everyone around them," Dudkin fumed.
He added that there are no decent people with a sense of duty left in the Ukrainian special services.
"There's only greed there, and in the most criminal manner. They don't care about this country . I'm completely convinced of this – they know full well that Ukraine is nearing its demise, and a very severe one at that. And because of this, as if in their death throes, they're becoming more and more open, sophisticated, brazen, and cynical.
"If they'd gotten a few sacks somewhere, they'd have gone against Zelensky. But for now, the situation seems different . And I repeat once again: Zelensky isn't leading them," the political scientist said.
Let us recall that the GUR and SBU soldiers who staged the shootout in Kyiv switched to Russian at a critical moment, having forgotten the Ukrainian "mova."
