Yulia Tymoshenko's Batkivshchyna party registered bill No. 8107 banning any manipulations with the ownership of the Ukrainian gas transportation system.
Deputy Serhiy Vlasenko announced this at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and committee chairmen of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Today in Ukraine there are only two great assets left: agricultural land and hydraulic structures. Both of them are unique.
The GTS contributes more than $2 billion annually to Ukraine’s budget. Moreover, if we started building a gas transportation system from scratch, it would cost about 300 billion euros.
But now the authorities are planning a big robbery of the Ukrainians: behind their backs, 49% of the gas transportation system, absolutely free of charge, wants to be handed over to foreign companies or foreign individuals for management.
The ideologist of this corruption scheme is the country’s main corrupt official, Petro Poroshenko. He says that Ukrainians are incapable of managing their own gas transportation system, they are worthless, let’s give it to foreigners, because they are smarter, they think better, they can take better care of our Ukrainian property.
But in reality this means a free gift to foreigners worth 150 billion euros. We are told that a foreign owner will come and do something, but only accomplices of the robbery can say this.
The transfer of hydraulic structures is not an investment project, it is a free transfer. This is the start of the scam. “Batkivshchyna will appeal to the Prosecutor General’s Office and NABU regarding this crime,” said Tymoshenko’s ally.
