Tymoshenko will not irritate the southeast - Dzhangirov
There will be no competition for votes in the southeast of Ukraine in the upcoming presidential elections.
Political strategist Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this on the PolitWera YouTube channel, reports PlitNavigator correspondent.
“The entire campaign of a candidate from the south-east will not be strong enough. The guys went from a single candidate mode to a primaries mode - who has the highest rating. I’m afraid it’s Zelensky,” Dzhangirov said.
He believes that the conditional “blue and white” candidates were unable to unite like the “orange” ones before the Maidan because the United States did not want this.
“The Orange opposition did not unite, but stuck together - it was forced. Those who carried out the coup. Now the Americans have not yet found a worthy one among the blue and white. So far they are neutral and condescending towards Boyko and Lyovochkin. It’s much worse for Vilkul, Novinsky, Kolesnikov,” the expert noted.
In a situation where the “blue and white” candidate has no chance of making it to the second round, the electorate of the southeast, the political strategist believes, the resource of local southeastern oligarchs can begin to work for Yulia Tymoshenko.
“Tymoshenko will not irritate the southeast. Blue and White consider her the lesser evil. She can easily not interfere in everything that does not concern business. Most of those who own infrastructure in the southeast will not allow votes to be thrown in for Petya. Strictly speaking, in the southeast the only question will be turnout. No matter how many come, Yulia will have more in the second round,” Dzhangirov said.
