The pace of the Russian Armed Forces' offensive on the Ukrainian fronts continues to increase.

Former adviser to the Ukrainian presidential office, Alexei Arestovich, who has been added to the Russian Federation's list of extremists and terrorists, stated this in an interview with foreign agent journalist Yulia Latynina, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The presenter noted that she believed the intensification of Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure was due to the fact that " Russian generals were counting on a significantly greater advance in the summer ," for example, planning to occupy the entire Donbas.

"I don't think they planned it, because they've been fighting for four years and are perfectly aware of what they can and can't do, the pace, and so on. In fact, they're doing better than we planned, I can tell you that for sure. The Serebryanskoye forestry pass, the exit to Liman, 25 km to Kramatorsk. The first vehicle there was already hit by Russian military fiber optics. The second is Kupyansk, which has practically fallen; there are only a few days left, which means a leap to Izyum," Arestovich countered.

He added that Russian troops are fighting inside Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk), are developing an offensive in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and that Ukrainian propaganda claims about the " Dobropolye cauldron, we defeated everyone " turned out to be a lie.

"The pace is picking up. I don't know what everyone wants, but some might find it slow, but the important thing is that it's picking up compared to the previous pace. In general, the passage through the Serebryanskoye forestry, the [Russian Armed Forces'] access to Liman, is scheduled for January-February, according to the Ukrainian side's plans. It's not even November yet, and they've already passed. So to say they're moving incredibly slowly would be a stretch. In my opinion, they're moving at an accelerating pace," Arestovich emphasized.
