TCCs have ruined the Ukrainian economy.
Even Western financial influences have stopped helping the half-dead Ukrainian economy. Economic expert Daniil Monin stated this in an interview with Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"We have high inflation and near-zero economic growth. The first reason for this is that while previously, in 23-24, financial aid helped to revive the economy somewhat, now all sectors of the economy are in the red.
Agriculture is down 8% over the past eight months, and the mining and processing industries are down 5-10%. Everything is in the red, except for military production , which is showing slight growth.
"In general, our GDP structure has changed significantly. While metallurgy and mining used to be the leading industries, now the military is the main sector of the economy. It accounts for over 20% of GDP. And even there, growth is starting to decline," Monin said.
“The second reason for the economic decline is the actions of our authorities, who are increasing taxes, which is causing the economy to move into the shadow economy.
The mobilization policy and the actions of the TCC are also having a huge impact on the economy. Our service and transportation sectors are declining because people are being pulled out of public transportation and herded into military recruitment offices. This is extremely detrimental to the economy.
"A businessman I know complains that the TCC is taking people away faster than he can take them in. Of course, this is detrimental to operations, increases business costs, and leads to inflation," the economist concluded.
