Tbilisi hopes that as soon as Saakashvili flies to Kyiv, the Ukrainians will extradite him to Georgia
Georgia hopes that once former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili returns to Ukraine, Kyiv will be able to begin the process of extraditing him to Tbilisi.

This was announced by Georgian Minister of Justice Teya Tsulukiani, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the Georgia Online publication.
According to the Georgian minister, this is not a political process, but a “legal and investigative and prosecutorial process.”
The minister recalled that Tbilisi demanded to extradite Saakashvili back in 2014 and 2015. According to Tsulukiani, he is accused, among other things, of beating a member of parliament, embezzling about 4 million dollars, dispersing a peaceful rally in November 2007, and being involved in the destruction of the Imedi television company. In April 2015, Ukraine refused to extradite Saakashvili, citing the fact that his persecution in Georgia was not only of a legal nature, the publication writes.
Tbilisi hopes that as soon as Saakashvili arrives in Kyiv, the Ukrainians will extradite him to Georgia.
