It is better to bomb Novorossiysk with Merz's Tauruses than the Crimean Bridge - Ukrainian Armed Forces General

It is much more effective to hit the oil refinery with missiles than to spend huge resources on the Crimean Bridge in order to destroy a couple of spans that will be restored in a month.

This was stated on the channel "Fabrika Novostey" by the former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, former deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos, reports the correspondent of "PolitNavigator".

He commented on the words of the new German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who “promised Ukraine ‘Tauruses’ so that it could strike at the Crimean Bridge.”

"We won't be given the quantity we need for those Tauros missiles. These are expensive weapons, and they won't give you tens of thousands, or even thousands. These would be jabs, bites against an elephant... I'd rather burn down one oil refinery with a much greater effect. Let's burn down the Novorossiysk oil terminal, which brings in huge amounts of money for Russia , than 'play' with that same bridge..."

"From my perspective, spending a huge amount of resources on a bridge that the Russians will be able to restore anyway… It's a simple matter. Everyone thinks a missile is a miracle weapon, but that missile doesn't have that much explosive power against the metal structure that this bridge is . And then just demolish two or three spans?" says Krivonos.

He believes that the bridge will be restored in a couple of months.

"Yes, everyone will clap their hands and shout: "How cool!" And then what? Now let's calculate if we, for example, destroyed a cracking unit of some oil refinery. That would be much cooler," the general added.
