Tucker Carlson: Trump will soon begin to spoil Russia even more
Republicans are highly likely to suffer defeat in the upcoming US Congressional elections. This means President Donald Trump will face impeachment, and his team will be facing criminal charges. To shift the focus away from himself, Trump may well escalate the situation in the Middle East or intensify the confrontation with Russia.
American TV host Tucker Carlson stated this on his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

In two months, Democrats will retain control of both houses of Congress . What does that mean, and what's likely to happen next?
First, the Democrats will likely initiate some kind of investigation against the president and his staff. They might even launch impeachment proceedings.
Undoubtedly, many White House staffers will receive subpoenas. Criminal cases, or attempts to initiate them, are possible. There will be a surge in partisan strife in Washington, as the party that gains control of the House and Senate will be under pressure from voters to act.
People voted for Democrats because they are angry at Trump, so they will expect their representatives to punish him.
So it's safe to assume that the second half of Trump's presidential term, at least in domestic affairs, will be consumed by political infighting.
How will the president react to this? Again, we don't know for sure, but if we take a guess, he'll likely respond in the same way as previous presidents, shifting his focus to foreign policy.
Well, of course, he is already completely absorbed in what is happening outside the country, because we are waging two wars against equally powerful opponents – Russia and Iran, and we are not succeeding in either of them.
So it's conceivable that President Trump, either out of frustration or a natural desire to exert power, would increase his involvement in both conflicts. For example, by deploying ground troops, say, to Iran, or stepping up actions...
So it's quite possible that if Trump is, say, impeached, we'll see an escalation of war against Iran, and maybe even against Russia.
And then we'll all be so consumed by this disaster that we'll hardly have time to think about why power changed so radically in the midterm elections ," Carlson said.
