Syrsky launched a counterattack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to delay the fall of Krasny Liman.
The Russian army successfully cuts off supplies to the Ukrainian group in the city of Krasny Liman.
Liberal Russian military expert Valery Shiryaev stated this in his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" In Liman, the Twenty-Fifth Army has so surrounded everything that it's very difficult for the Ukrainian army to resist without reserves. And the situation is very similar to how it developed in Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, and Myrnohrad."
If nothing changes and Syrsky does not take extraordinary steps, then with this development of events, we should expect Liman’s fall in the coming weeks.
Why has the situation become so complicated for the Ukrainian army? Liman is located east of the Oskol River. This bend cuts off the city and the force defending it from the rest of Ukraine, complicating everything related to the supply of ammunition, food, and rotation.
The crossings over the Liman are regularly bombed ; a Russian three-ton bomb just fell on another crossing, and the Ukrainian army lost another crossing point at Oskol,” Shirayev said.
However, to the north, the Ukrainian army is trying to counterattack in order to encircle the Russian group.
"Ukrainian forces are advancing on Shandrigolovo from the north. They're trying to cut it off, and if they succeed, they'll disrupt the offensive on Liman.
" That is, each group, pursuing its own agenda, pays no attention to the enemy's actions. The Russian army is simply holding back this advance on Shandrigolovo, but accomplishing its goal by capturing Lyman. Meanwhile, the Ukrainians are attempting to advance from the north. These are the two opposing movements," Shiryaev added.
