Political scientist Alexei Chadayev stated this on the podcast "Purity of Understanding," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Our society must decide whether the SVO is a war of liberation or a punitive one. He believes that this point of view – “ not very widespread, but not marginal ” – works against Russia in the Ukrainian conflict.

In a cultural sense, of course, the crests are crests with all the bells and whistles... But the definition of "friend or foe" must work beyond these peculiarities.
"We must accept as a society that there are our own people there, and we need to build communication with them. We can't say, ' Russia is coming, and you'll just keep quiet .' That's impossible to win," Chadayev said.
